| Darian, here is DARIAN SAHANAJA, currently a prime mover on the exciting L.A pop scene with the highly touted WONDERMINTS. Enjoy these 2 awesome renditions of BRIAN WILSON songs recorded in the early days of the band. Released under his first name, Darian Sahanaja and his two friends (Nick Walusko & Tom Bailey) recreates the Beach Boy’s sound of yore so many pretenders fail at. An astronishingly accomplished achievement as it was done on a 4-track. And, of course, these incredible songs are bringing back memories of a time when life was simpler. From the “Beach Boys Love You” album (1977), “I Wanna Pick You Up” is a honey pearl of purity sounding like a left-over from the “Pet Sounds” sessions. With an extra 12-string guitar and more dept to an already rich original, taken from Brian Wilson’s unrleased “Sweet Insanity” album (1990), “Do You Have Any Regrets?” is simply the best ever Brian Wilson cover. Pure magic with “Smash Hit” written all over it! | ||
